Lagos – Socialite Cubana Chief Priest has hit back at content creator Klintoncod, who called him out for showcasing his luxury lifestyle – including his Rolls Royce and other possessions – in a video from the burial of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo.
The video, which surfaced online during the mourning period, drew sharp criticism from Klintoncod, who accused the businessman of insensitivity during a time of collective grief.
But Cubana, never one to back down, delivered a defiant rebuttal: “Following someone you hate is witchcraft. You for just block me make you no see the lifestyle instead you choose to use me to hustle Facebook money or better still recruit more haters for me.”
He continued sarcastically: “No vex, I for use bicycle go the funeral still come back the same day. I for no eat. I for no even bath. I for give out all my cars make you fit love me instead of the hate.”
The socialite reminded his followers that life is fleeting and everyone is merely an instrument in the hands of the creator. “Make una take am easy, we are just pencil in the hands of the creator. Just do your own, make another man do him own. Talk is cheap and that’s the best your envious and jealous souls can do. Na lifestyle I chop. I no kill person. Choke on it.”
The exchange has generated mixed reactions online – with some defending the socialite’s right to live his life, while others argue celebrities should show more sensitivity during times of national mourning.
