AUCHI – In a decisive crackdown following a cult-related murder that sent panic through Auchi, the Edo State Security Corps has arrested 14 suspects and demolished Abiodun Motor Park, where the victim was killed. The operation, led by the governor’s chief security officers, also sealed Triple J & J Hotel, where the murder plot was allegedly hatched. Two key suspects—Anefi Kassim (a Juris Confraternity member) and Idris Mustapha (an ESSC officer)—remain at large, with a 24-hour ultimatum issued for their surrender. Governor Monday Okpebholo vowed that “criminals will no longer be safe” in the state.
