President Bola Tinubu on Thursday assured residents of Oyo State that schoolchildren and teachers abducted from three primary schools in Oriire Local Government Area on May 15 would be rescued unharmed.
Speaking during the inauguration of the remodelled Premier Hotel in Ibadan, Tinubu said the Federal Government was deploying all available measures, including international collaboration, to secure their release.
The President called on Nigerians to remain vigilant and support security agencies through intelligence sharing and community collaboration.
He explained that economic growth could only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and security, adding that his administration had made substantial investments in strengthening the nation’s security architecture.
Tinubu paid tribute to the visionary leaders of the old Western Region and commended Odu’a Investment Company Limited for preserving the legacy of Premier Hotel. Governor Seyi Makinde described the inauguration as a significant milestone in restoring one of Nigeria’s most iconic hospitality landmarks.
