NATIONWIDE — Families of hundreds of Nigerians abducted by terrorists and bandits across Kwara, Borno, Zamfara, Kaduna, Ekiti, Osun, Sokoto, and Benue states say they have been abandoned. In Kwara, 176 women and children abducted in February remain missing. In Borno, 78 schoolchildren and 13 travellers are still held. Many families have paid ransoms without securing release.
Police Rescue Ogun Kidnap Victims in ‘Operation Kosaye’
ABEOKUTA — Five kidnap victims were rescued in a joint security operation along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway after being held captive for nearly 24 hours. The kidnappers demanded between N40 million and N70 million ransom. Four abductors were killed and 84 suspects arrested during the operation spanning Lagos-Ogun-Oyo boundaries.

YOLA — The Adamawa State Police Command arrested four suspects at the NYSC lodge in Yola for criminal conspiracy, possession of dangerous weapons, criminal trespass, and robbery. The suspects allegedly robbed 36 corps members of their valuables, including mobile phones. Commissioner of Police Kabir Hassan assured the public of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
