LAGOS — A fresh LASU graduate is fighting for his life after being shot by armed robbers who attacked a PoS operator’s residence in the Igando area of Lagos on Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said the four-man gang, who arrived on two motorcycles, traced the PoS operator to her home on Kayode Onafuye Street. When they failed to gain entry into the building after occupants shut the door, the frustrated robbers opened fire indiscriminately.
The graduate, who was walking along the street, was struck by a stray bullet. He was rushed to a nearby General Hospital. Those who rescued him said he had just completed his studies and was preparing for NYSC.
Police said officers were deployed to the scene and spent bullet shells were recovered. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer said she was not aware of the incident but promised to revert.
